Re: help! looking for a scary and glowy veil
Wed, April 27, 2005 - 8:36 AMI've never done it but you might try experimenting with glow paint or glow in the dark paint? IT sounds really cool but I've not done it yet....post pics!! -

Re: help! looking for a scary and glowy veil
Mon, May 9, 2005 - 3:51 PMNajla, just FYI: Blacklight fabric paints can be hard to come by. However, there's an additive that can be added to any paint to make it into fabric paint. You can buy it at craft stores. I've used it mixed with Wildfire's blacklight paints on polyester chiffon, and it works beautifully. (And also FYI, Wildfire makes the best blacklight paints. www.wildfirefx.com)
You might also pop in to the Desert Sin tribe and ask about scary glowy things there; I just saw thier new show, and they had some fantastic effects in Act II, which is the Egyptian mythology segment of the show.
But now I realize I'm not sure if you're using blacklight, or if you just want something that feels glowy, even under regular light... If that's what you're looking for, a lot of greens have a sort of glowy quality. And silk is glowier than polyester any day! -
